“ EROL BULUT: “I AM A HAPPY MAN”

Cardiff City boss Erol Bulut says the late flurry of transfer activity from the Bluebirds has made him a "happy man."



Nat Phillips, Famara Diedhiou, Josh Wilson-Esbrand, Ethan Horvath and David Turnbull all joined the Bluebirds in the final days of the winter market.

In their first game since the signings, Cardiff closed the gap to the Championship play-off spots to five points with a 1-0 win at Watford.


Bulut named four of his new signings as substitutes, with the quartet all coming on at Vicarage Road.


EROL BULUT:


“I am pleased very much because with new faces here with us, we could see that the team is fresher than before," Bulut said.


“We were able to use our new players, we have now players that mean we can change and this is good, this will be much better for us in the next weeks.”

“I would have preferred to get some players in the first week of January as agreed, but we got them in the end.”

“I am happy man today. For long weeks we couldn’t manage because of injuries, but now we are five players more and can manage in the coming weeks much, much better."

Depends what he means by "as agreed". Some will say as agreed by Dalman & some will say as agreed with by certain players, the truth is we just don't know which "as agreed" he means and who went back on their word.

Depends what he means by "as agreed". Some will say as agreed by Dalman & some will say as agreed with by certain players, the truth is we just don't know which "as agreed" he means and who went back on their word.

I think the only way we keep him is with a 2-3 year contract because I think he wants to change the playing side from top to bottom.

I would give him the length of contract that he’s looking for but that comes with risks financially that we’ve suffered from before.

Let’s hope we can get to a position that’s good for both sides.

Totally agree with all of this.

Without knowing the detail, it’s impossible to know why some transfers fail but it’s usually for a good reason. And Managers will always grumble, it’s their job.
