Former Swans midfielder Andy Robinson :
"I've watched them many times this season & the more I see them, the more I'm concerned.
"The worrying thing for me is that Swansea are falling towards a relegation battle because the players they've got are not enough at the moment."

They won’t go down.
Williams is a decent manager and things will click at some point.
There are at least three teams worse than them anyway.

Think they'll go into meltdown next week if they lose at Hull and QPR beat Norwich. Above the relegation zone by a couple of points will really bring it in to focus! Sadly, I dont think they'll go down though. Rotherham, Sheff Wed and Huddersfield will drop.

Well yes but will they handle the pressure if they have a bad February where they have some very difficult games. They have a horrible set of fixtures coming up which could put them in a tight relegation fight. If that happens will they be able to handle the pressure?

Good point.
But it also relies on QPR, Rotherham and Sheffield Wednesday winning games.
That seems unlikely, give they’ve won two games between them in their last five.

Reap what you so! Policy of signing under 23s....not enough experience in side plus selling best players every season losing manager every season or so not good combination.
Mon Feb 05, 2024 8:24 pm
I hope they don’t go down
We can start enjoying beating them the next few seasons just like they have with us

Jacks have only got 1 point in their last 4 and conceded 9 goals.
Hull, Leeds, Ipswich and Sunderland up next.

Here's a question for you gents...
Would you rather:
A. Beat the jacks and get our first double but they stay up?
Or
B. Lose the 2nd derby but they go down?
Thoughts??

Lose and they get relegated back where they belong
Mon Feb 05, 2024 10:09 pm
A, so we can do the double over them again next season.

Beat them and they stay up..everybody loves the derby games and I’d look forward to 2 more next year

Agree with this.
Have to say I missed the games when they were in the PL without us and we were in the PL without them, despite our awful record against them in recent years until this season.

Beat them regardless of the consequences. I want us to win every game and dont concern myself with the goings on down the road. That being said, the derby is a great event and I also want welsh football to do well. To do that all 4 (5 if you include Merthyr) English based clubs need to be playing well and to a good level of competition.

Swansea will get their welsh derby next season with Us ...or may be with Wrexham

A side of me says they won't go down (I wish they would) as they still have a bit about them, in so much as they will survive in the Championship, as opposed to ever thriving again, at least before their fans finally revolt against the yanks, who like VT have a bit of core cash and think they can side hustle into the PL as they see themselves as business disruptors.
But who will come in after the yanks are eventually called out after the collegiate hedgie funders see it's not an good ROI and cut their losses? The "Swansea Way" video was a nice sales tool to attract them in, which it did. Probably was viewed many times to attract the Wrexham owners too, from Hollywood to Tinseltown, with the former like VT seeing the potential whilst gazing at Liverpool, either from just a few miles away geographically or seeing Stevie G a few feet away lift a cup at Wembley that the world's cameras were filming and in a game that on merit, we should have won.
I think HJ, their homie and architect of their 7 year success may appear again at some stage. Like him or not, he did a great job there and I learned a bit from his comments when he exited, as had reached his own brick wall, on sustaining mid table PL and the real business of football at that level and for that number of years.
We should be at least be a mid to upper sustainable PL club as a one club capital city and in a unique 1.5M catchment area. And given time and the right owner or operator, we will.

Lose and never have to play them again. How anyone can enjoy a derby game is beyond me. Hate them (especially recently)
Tue Feb 06, 2024 9:16 am
I want all the welsh clubs to be in our division ideally I would not mind Swansea being 2nd in the premier league as long as we were 1st and that would really piss them off
Tue Feb 06, 2024 9:35 am
Would rather see them playing shrewsbury town
but uf we so olay them next season i hope we can drop or at least not throughout the game sing sh.gg d by your fathers not because of its meaning but its bloody wearing every 10 minutes

Apparently their fans have same opinion of their chairman as our fans does of ours!
And they could need upto 15 players in summer with out of contract and loans ended.

I’m surprised at the comment “Williams is a decent manager” ! Maybe at National League level but this board would have melted if Tan had appointed him as manager of us !
There is a huge jump and he’s been given very little backing in January. I’m just waiting for the Jacks to say “we’re too good to go down”, just ask Leicester about that line of thinking !

They'll survive just bec there is 3 worse sides but come next season with lots new players will a team of undrr 23s be good enough to survive or cope with the demands of the championship? According to their chairman they will be using anylitical data to get in players.....problem is we all know you need experience players as well as youngsters in championship ? But got policy of signing under 23s will not help their cause......
