It’s not Football Manager. Cut Bulut some slack

Mon Feb 12, 2024 7:33 am

Granted the football is dire currently. There’s no getting away from that. It’s really, really poor and we are frustrated.

But …….

It’s not football manager. It’s not as simple as instruct players to attack, pick the team and go.

We have over performed this season taking everything into account. Bulut has shown he can get us playing to a decent standard and deserves the chance to see if he can take us further. Another transfer window is the least he deserves.

I have always said we don’t have the patience as a fan base and I stand by that. I have said for years we are fickle and I stand by that.

There’s no getting away from the fact it’s dire though but if we can see it I’m sure Bulut can see it.

If Bulut can see it, why isn’t he changing the system to impact the game when things are going wrong? Playing 2 holding midfielders and a lone target man against 3 centre half’s shows how tactically inept he really is. We cannot string 2 wins together and everyone is saying he’s done a good job. We’ll get battered tomorrow and Saturday and then I think the board must act. We could find ourselves in a relegation scrap because EB will not try and win a game of football.

We have overperformed at a time when other teams were setting up their stool.

Basically that work out in our favour. Now most of those teams have settled down and have improved they simple have overtaken us therefore exposing our own levels. We played Leeds and Leicester at their places at the start of the season and were unlucky not to come away with 2 wins. Return fixtures they hammered us under our roof without getting out of 1st gear.

We need to accept that our squad is not as good as we thought in the beginning. Even so Bulut needs to get something out of them else he will be shown the door.

I don’t think many said the squad was that good. We have some decent players who over performed and are now under performing. A lot of it is confidence.

We have barely spent a penny.

Again, we need to have some patience and to cut him some slack.

Perjaps it would do the manager a power of goid to sit up higher in the stand for a game rather than trying to look through players legs from the dugout
I have always thought you see a diffetent game distance between players etc.

Yet we are told we should be grateful to Tan.

He needs to sell up though.

It’s not football manager as you can change tactics and style of play on there. Something Bulut seems unable to do.
