Oh for the old days!

I attach a copy of the South Wales Football Echo from the 3rd May 1952, the day City got promoted to the old First Division. I was there to witness this match in a crowd of 55,000 at Ninian Park. I was 10 years old at that time and in those days they were very kind to the youngsters, and I was lucky enough to be let into the old Grandstand, although I had to sit on the gangway steps. I was on cloud nine! I really enjoyed watching the football played at the time - none of this boring modern version being played by City at present. Perhaps it wasn’t classical stuff but there was honesty, and none of the horrible diving
and continual holding being served up now.
I can put on the other pages from the Echo if anyone is interested, as there a further two pages of Cardiff City players and management, photos from the Leeds match, Cardiff Rugby and even scores from the early days of the cricket season.

So sorry, but the photo was too big to put on the site, so I shall have to think of ways of trying to reduce it to enable it to be shown. My old age does not help my skill with a computer!

Thank you Annis, I have tried but still unsuccessful. I have even tried to send the Echo front page by sending it in two halves. Technology was not meant for me!
