Manolis Siopis has said Cardiff simply "must score" against Norwich City this weekend as Erol Bulut's side look to break a woeful run in front of goal.

The Bluebirds have scored just twice in their last six games, firing blanks in heavy losses at the hands of Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds United, as well as this week's 2-0 defeat to West Brom. In fact, the side's main strikers have managed just three goals all season, with Kion Etete scoring twice in 24 appearances, Yakou Meite netting just one in 27 and January signing Famara Diedhiou yet to score after three games.

After full-time at The Hawthorns on Tuesday night, Bulut himself admitted it was "difficult" for his side to score goals and midfielder Siopis knows they must start taking chances if they are to avoid slipping down the table.

“The results are not what we want, it’s true,” the Greek international said ahead of Saturday's visit to Carrow Road. “But at the moment we’re trying to be positive because we have so many games, and we want to take wins to better our position in the league.“


“We’ve created chances, but as you know in football it’s the details, and we’ve not scored from the chances. Against Preston we played amazing football to start, but we didn’t win because we couldn’t score."

“Now we will go up against Norwich, and I don’t know how many chances we’ll have," he added. "But we must score, because the other teams are scoring from theirs against us, taking the game. I expect from our team that we will go and give everything to take the three points. Nothing else.”
