“ Five new signings “

Tue Apr 30, 2024 6:00 pm

The general talk is we will need at least five new signings to come straight into the starting eleven if we want to compete for the top six.

What positions do you think they should be in?

I see this as a decent team, this is if Ng leaves.

Horvath

New right wing back
Goutas
McGuinness
New CB
New left wing back

Siopis
Turnbull

Ramsey/Colwill

New striker

To go all American we need a franchise CM & Striker (x2) whatever system

Our best CM is half crocked, and have a feeling that Sio may leave, this league is tough and he has struggled since Christmas, Turnbull adds a bit of class rather than muscle.

So we need a proven youngish CM and striker.

I know they are not easy to acquire but please get a bloody marksman who knows where the net is!

Really need a dominant midfield enforcer too.

If Plymouth drop down, how about Whittaker? That lad Ugbo is doing ok at Sheffield Wednesday too! ;-)

I think we need to spend £5-10Mill if we're serious about trying to go up.

Or less than £5Mill with 2 worldie loanees.

Can I be greedy and say £5-10m plus 4 Premier Quality Loanees?

If Ipswich do get promoted, and KM becomes a 3rd/4th choice squad player, I wouldn't mind having the following two strikers next season:

Ellis Simms - Coventry
Kieffer Moore - Ipswich (Loan/Transfer)

I’d like to see Cody Drameh come in.

Both are hardly doing that well since they left us

Agree. Missed McGuiness big time. He organized the back 4 much better than Guotas. Siopis ? Very energetic and a good engine, but achieves very little at this level..

I disagree, Siopis had a poor spell but he's great at this level.

Phillips was more than good enough as a McGuiness fill in.

Krystian Bielik - Birmingham City

Max Lowe - Sheff Utd
Chris Wood - Nottingham Forest
Cenk Tosun - Besiktas
Salih Ucan - Besiktas

Callum O'Hare will be leaving Coventry city this summer

Would be more than a useful signing

Liam Kitching could be a good option up top for us

Dramah and Sorba and Nat Phillips we should be talking to right now.

Mowatt, Koumas , for midfield

Dobbin, Whittaker up top.

We need to add in most areas of the team - How many depends on money /manager/FFP/loans etc...

The only part of the club/squad we can say we are ok is our 2 keepers :bluebird:

Sorry Ned but you cannot honestly think that midfield doesn't need strengthening
I would let Wintle go Ralls is not got the legs back up only. Ramsay can t take the rigours of the championship
Keep the same midfield and Don t add to it and we will struggle
