A mystery wrapped in an enigma last season. It was a tricky time for the Republic of Ireland international. Firstly, he was told he wouldn't start until he could prove there was more to his defensive game, so he was reduced to cameo roles off the bench.


Then illnesses, injuries and disciplinary issues blighted the second half of his campaign and the situation raised more than a couple of eyebrows. After all, this was a Cardiff team struggling to score and they had a player with almost 84 Championship goal contributions to his name sitting on the bench or out of the matchday squad.

One feels the manager situation will have a massive bearing on Robinson's future. If it is Bulut, it looks a tough one to come back from – not impossible, of course. If it's a different manager, well, he's a more than capable player at this level if they can get a tune out of him.

For me it felt that there was an issue between him and Bulut.

Sounds like my feeling were right. I feel its going to take another manager to get the best out of him. If Bulut remains I can see Robinson leaving.

I rate Robinson but to be brutally honest he just didn’t look like he was interested last season and either his fitness, or application, simply wasn’t there and didn’t deserve to be in the First XI.

I can forgive players for injuries, lack of form, etc., but his lack of effort was unacceptable with no excuses so I have no problem if we want to get rid and free up that hefty wage.

It's not working for him here. Cut losses if there is a someone interested. Je's not long term at this stage and not firing on any cylinders. We wouldn't miss him.

Something about this bloke isn’t right. I think he’s probably a bit of a bad influence and the sooner we get things sorted, we can bid him farewell.
