Erol Bulut: “ Joel Colwill etc etc “

Joel Colwill will be 20 years old in October with only 2 league appearances , he desperately needs to be playing with the first team more.

As everyone knows I am a massive fan of Rubin and rate Rubin very highly , but I can tell you know Joel is even better and should be in the first team squad.

My worries are that Erol Bulut hardly played many of our 18,20 or 21 year olds, many on here said at the time as we were trying to get higher in the league, when actually we struggled badly to go higher and they should of started playing as soon as we were safe from relegation as we were never ever going up.


Bulut should this Summer in the pre-season play Joel Colwill, Giles, Conte , Ashford etc in virtually every friendly as I see players like these players better than what we have in the first team.

Conte will be 22 years old this year.

Please don’t send any of the above our on loan as at their ages because for me by now they are definitely ready and if you send them out pointless as they may as well leave.

Still have my doubts on Eli King, but deserves to play in all the pre-season and even Isaak Davies.


Could be very exciting.

After watching him in Whitts testimonial match I thought he could become a real decent player .wasnt shy in calling and receiving the ball and a bit more aggressive than his brother .Hopefully both play a big part this season in midfield

Why not? Other teams seem capable of playing their youngsters and protecting them. We protect them by not giving them any game time

Don’t forget we had so many different managers who kept changing our team.

I stand by this Joel Colwill given the chance will be the best player for us to come out of the Accademy in the last 15 years.

At 18,19 they should be in the first team squad if they really are going to make it.

If Sunderland can do it, with a full team averaging 21, we can give our talented youngsters game time.

I think Bulut willl have Joel in the starting line up right from the off , as I think he was impressed by him ,and conte deffo in squad , great speed and awareness ,
This is going to be Rubin’s year , if he stays injury free .
The other kid was impressive too ,
