Trust chair Keith Morgan today issued the following statement to the 300 CCST members amid the growing uncertainty over the managerial situation at the club.

Wednesday 29th May 2024

Dear Member,

You will recall that I emailed you on 6th April regarding the situation in respect of the position of Manager. In that email I informed you that, at that time, the decision regarding the future of Erol Bulut had been in the hands of Vincent Tan for some time.

The Trust made no observations as to who should be appointed to the post only that a decision should be made speedily to remove uncertainties and disquiet amongst fans.

Well, here we are, more than 7 weeks later with no sign of any progress on this issue. There has been little or no meaningful information from the club on this matter leading to rumour, speculation and frustration amongst the fanbase.

The absence of footballing expertise at board level and the intransigence of Vincent Tan in his views on the appointment of a Director of Football or similar continues to be a concern, especially in the current circumstances.

I think it is fair to say that an extended contract for the current manager does not necessarily have 100% support amongst the fans. There are concerns over style of football and tactics but there seems to be a degree of unanimity amongst the fanbase that the current situation is unacceptable and should be resolved one way or another as soon as possible.

Keith Morgan
Chair

A "degree of unanimity amongst the fan base"!?

No Keith, we are all effing furious about it whilst the 300 trust members appear to just be slightly miffed.

I hope the other FAB members are flooding the boards inboxes and demanding to know what's going on and if EB doesn't sign, do we have someone else lined up and has a decent budget been agreed?

7 weeks later...a zombie apocalypse will hit us b4 Tan makes a decision.

Right here right now I would genuinely take league 1 and no Vincent Tan than stay around in this circus.

A reset, get all the fans back on side and start again.

Dalman must be ignoring Keith Morgan again

Don’t worry Keith, as soon as Dalman has some crap to put out, he will contact you and you will be praising him again.

The lack of information from the Cardiff City board shows how much we are missing leadership at the top.

An owner who lives in Malaysia, a chairman in Monaco and a CEO who only works 1 day a week.
I genuinely fear for the long term.

Look at Wrexham. Owners in USA and appoint a very well respected CEO to run what was a non league club 2 years ago.
The supporters can see it, why the hell can't Tan. Surely he cant be a complete fool to have become a billionaire.

He used to be a billionaire but half of that has been wiped out. They say that the easiest way to become a millionaire is to be a billionaire and buy a football club. They also say that a fool and his money are soon parted.

Always find then Trust and Keith Morgan’s statements very Accidental Partridge. Just can’t take them seriously.

The club treat them like a ginger stepchild. They are about as welcome as a butcher in a vegan convention

They are as much use as tits on a fish.

Some great comments on here, ginger stepchild and tits on a fish are two I'll be nicking. Being condemned by the trust is like being savaged by a poodle. They remind me of the parish council in the Vicar Of Dibley.

I'm surprised that Dalman has anything thing to do with them after their absolute car crash of an 'open letter" that prompted the club to almost shut them down and an official public statement release on the club website.

But it resulted in them grovelling back to get back into MDs good books on the proviso they are an extension of his PR machine and keep their free office at the stadium.

What's the purpose of this statement, and desired outcome?

Will the club give a shit? I doubt it. Is there any proposed action as a result of the statement?

Seems worthless to me, and stating the obvious.
