AND a Couple of weeks ago another Cardiff City’s Striker Son:

Ex Cardiff forward Warren Feeney, whose son was born in Wales and qualifies for both Wales and Northern Ireland and is Currently in the Wales Under 16 Squad has been signed by Tottenham.

George Feeney, a 16-year-old striker at Glentoran, is moving to north London this summer for £1million with further payments of up to £2million if Feeney starts a first team game for Tottenham.

Father Warren Feeney was Glentorian’s manager and two seasons ago asked Cardiff City’s coaches to take a look at the lad. The lad was born in Cardiff and Warren wanted him to be part of the set up. No one came back to Cardiff and George Feeney was never even given a trial.

So a top Premier League club have paid £1 million for a 16 year old kid who is part of the Wales set up, who was born in Cardiff, his father is a manager who used to play for us and got in contact with us and we couldn't even be bothered to get back to him. If this is only half correct I despair.

Absolutely correct, Warren spoke to an actual City Coach, never even came back with a trial which costs nothing.
We lost out big time, Our own fault.

Plus I always see some fans Moaning we lose our best players, well we’ve lost about 4 in 15 yrs, as you can see Ipswich lost Earnies Son, it happens to All Clubs if you not say a Top 10 Premiership Club.

That’s football.

Good luck to Earnie’s son at Man Utd. Couldn’t wish for a better academy.

For all their faults, Man Utd have had the best academy in the UK for a long time.

Obviously there’s the class of 92 but other cases like Rashford etc.

We have sent players there lately who are reportedly doing well - Bianchero (sp?) I’m hearing good things about.

David Hughes is also there.

That really is total incompetence regarding Feeneys boy. Agree with you regarding the loss of players to top clubs. Its the system that's wrong not the club
