Heard yesterday James Rowberry has rejoined the Cardiff coaching staff, never worked out at Newport, interesting move if true with the Bulut deal in the balance, does that suggest a new manager coming in?

Great news .

He was well thought of as a rising coach a few years ago, he's friends with Gavin Chesterfield, so I'm guessing that's why he's returned.

Any idea why it didn't work out at Newport? Maybe Hugh J wants his own guy in or we are offering a better position which would make sense especially considering the above.

Good luck to him, as all the city coaches I spoke to about him said he was very good, so good to see him back.

I think he fits into the category of being a good coach but struggling as the main man.

At one point Tan wanted to make him manager, hope he’s not thinking that again.

they lost more games than they won when he was manager. i'm sure Hugh Jenkins come in well after he got sacked and replaced by Coughlan

Makes sense. But he was really well respected before he left us so I guess the move was just to move up a level, which was always going to be a rough gig at Newport but I bet (hope) he's learned at a lot, a bit like a player going out out loan Tina lesser team as it gives you the real world minutes you need to develop.

As said, good luck to him as at one stage he was really thought as being a stand out rising star.
