Your take on the new coaching staff

Tue Jun 04, 2024 4:39 pm

This one concerns me a little, although I may be barking up the wrong tree, so I wanted to guage thoughts and opinions.

When we talk about new coaching staff are we saying that Buluts right hand men from last year are being replaced, or are we building a larger coaching team? In addition, is there a thought that in order to give Bulut the extended contract from the ridiculous year that Tan sought to impose, he was told to change his coaching staff to a group that was more cost effective in order to pay for his 2nd year?

If Bulut thought his backroom staff were good enough last year which he clearly did as he brought them in, why then, if indeed it is the case, are they being changed?

Lets hope it is either a bigger or a better set up. Lets also hope that not only do we get a more competitive team on the pitch, but that we get performances that will get the crowd off their seats regularly for the first time in many a while......

Whilst writing, I must add, why oh why, when a manager is signed, sacked, walks out, comes to the end of a contract does he always have to publicly thank Tan. Its becoming a little obvious and embarrassing.

Jonny,

I presume it is a bigger set up, or at least I hope so

BUT

Your question that you raised about a cheaper coaching staff, to build a bigger coaching team certainly raises questions that I hadn't thought of.

Let's hope this isn't the case

Very good point.

Would hope it’s increasing the number of coaches, that’s what Bulut asked for at the start of the negotiations.

If it’s replacing the existing coaches I agree that it’s a little worrying.

If as the OP suggests possibly a "cheaper coaching setup" getting rid of the original coaches, why would Bulut have signed a new contract, when it was clearly a possibility that he could have walked, as the protracted negotiations suggested? I hope it's either an addition to or an upgrade on last seasons back room staff.

Makes absolutely no sense to replace good coaches with under 9 coaches when got 2yr contract? It's safe to say he's improving the set up not downgrading it.... if people remember he brought in a scout experienced in European football that should tell you his intentions... i do wonder sometimes why not look at positive side instead of looking for a negative side that is daft :o

As you can see I'm not being negative, just airing thoughts and getting others opinions as I'm personally not clear on what a 'new coaching team' actually means or consists of........

Well unless we have a full list of backroom staff it means bulut wants to strengthen the coaches or technical staff? Managers do not bring in staff because there cheaper than what's at a club ......unless of course it only because its ccfc? You can cut it anyway you like but it's a negative take on something that club is doing? Why not say its good that the club is boosting it's coaching set up?
As said he brought in scout thats experienced in europe ages ago anyone thought club as brought in cheap div 2 manager who doesn't have a clue ... :!:

Difficult to have an opinion on an unknown.
Who are they?

Can't be much worse than last seasons bunch.

Can't think of one player who improved significantly as a result of Bulut's (and his staff) coaching abilities.

My take is Erol has had a season and so have his coaches, maybe the Cardiff or the championship is not for them?

Perhaps Erol thinks he needs a bit more championship knowledge in the group as we were naive as hell last season.

Coaches come and go, they are not "his" group like Blackie and Ronnie are to Warnock.

Hopefully one of the coaches is an attacking coach, or thinking about it all of them.
