There will be an unfamiliar and youthful look to Wales when they face Gibraltar in a friendly in Portugal on Thursday as manager Rob Page prepares to hand debuts to several players.
Having missed out on qualification for Euro 2024, Wales are expected to use this game as an opportunity to experiment with fringe players before reverting to a more familiar line-up when they visit Slovakia for another friendly on Sunday.
With several first-team regulars missing in Portugal, the match against Gibraltar – ranked 203rd in the world – will see the likes of 18-year-old Liverpool striker Lewis Koumas and Leeds United midfielder Charlie Crew, 17, earn their first caps.
Bolton Wanderers midfielder Josh Sheehan, meanwhile, will captain Wales for the first time in only his sixth international appearance.
