Gibraltar are 203rd in the world and we’ve

Fri Jun 07, 2024 4:35 am

Gibraltar are 203rd in the world and Wales have just drawn to them. If it was a youthful side fair enough but I would say it was an ok side. Surely conversations need to be had after that?

How Page can give an interview to the BBC (quoted below) and state "he get's it" shows how deluded and completely useless as a Manager he is. He should have walked after the dismal performance in the World Cup, but he didn't.

And then he presides over a useless Euro campaign and tries to blag we were "1 spot kick away from qualification"!!! We should not have been in that position in the 1st place.

The fact that many in the Red Wall have turned against him speaks volumes. He should do the decent thing now and resign....before he causes long term damage to our national team. :bluebird:

BBC - Page faced criticism after Wales were humiliated at home by Armenia last year and went on to miss out on qualification for Euro 2024, and the reception he got in Portugal after the Gibraltar game was the most hostile he has received so far.

"They are entitled to their opinion, absolutely. I get it, I completely get it," Page said when asked about being booed.

"I'm a Welsh supporter as well as the manager, I'm disappointed. But I have to keep saying about the bigger picture and I'll probably get criticised for that.

"It's the bigger picture and we're not going to lose focus on what we've done."

As far as I'm concerned there is no coming back from this.

He should walk and save the FAW the decision to sack him. I'm not too sure what this big picture he keeps going on about but all I'm seeing is a pure white sheet on the drawing board i,e, NOTHING.

We need change but I feel we are going to go through a lot more frustration before we see it.

Question not just of manager but the players as well. Disgraceful performance by the majority of them
