Cardiff City have confirmed 12 players will leave the club this summer.

The Bluebirds had to submit their retained list while Erol Bulut's own contract situation was still in limbo. However, Bulut signed off on all decisions.


There are few surprises, with senior players Romaine Sawyers, Sheyi Ojo, Rohan Luthra and Oliver Denham all leaving the club at the end of their contracts.


A further eight players — Xavier Benjamin, James Crole, Ryan Kavanagh, Kyle Kenniford, Caleb Hughes, Finlay Johnson, Jai Semenyo and Chanka Zimba — will all seek new opportunities elsewhere.



Plus All 5 loan players returned to their own clubs.

A good clear out

Would have kept Crole and give him another loan experience. Something there for me.

Which if I am being honest, doesnt fill me with excitement

Lets hope we can get some good additions this coming window

Some good players in there but also a lot of drivel. Try to get rid (e.g Romeo) and get better

Get rid of at least 10 more of them

We need to free up spaces and get - and start to rebuild
