They say Cardiff City 47,500 ?

Cardiff v Real Madrid , 1971 Madrid in all red for this game which Cardiff City won 1-0 an official attendance given as 47,500 though some who were there suggest it was more like 60,000.

I was there that night , atmosphere was electric

I was there right behind the goal when Clarkie scored. What a night that was. A huge crowd. Much bigger than 47k. There were fans hanging off the pylons to watch. Took me and my dad ages to get out. We didn’t care. We will NEVER get that atmosphere back like we did at NP. Fabulous days. People like Peter King Don Murray and Brian Harris use to walk to the match with their kitbag down sanitorium Road where Peter King lived. They would sop as well and sign autographs for the kids.

I was there with my Dad on the Bob Bank 48,000 crowd great atmosphere my favourite player Brian Clark scored the winner

I was there still have the programme and the Old programme of the real zargoth in 65/6
