Peter Odemwingie, the former Nigeria and Premier League striker, has become a qualified professional golfer six years after retiring from football. He began playing golf towards the end of his time at West Brom and is now a full member of the PGA, having completed their playing program.

I look at Golf when I realised I was not going to make it as a footballer at the age of 14.
Within 6 months I made it down to a single handicap but then my progress stopped. That extra bit you need to make it never happened to me for whatever I tried. Some people it is not a problem, do I hate that kind. The best of luck to him.

I cant recall him doing much for us apart from a goal against Newcastle (we still lost 1-2 I think)
Swapping with Jones was ultimately the best option
