Cardiff goalkeeper Ethan Horvath suffered an agonising late defeat for the USA at the hands of Panama in the Copa America


The Bluebirds goalkeeper was named on the bench for the clash at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, but replaced Matt Turner at half-time, with the Nottingham Forest goalkeeper unable to continue after suffering an injury.

The score was poised at 1-1 in the Group C game before Jose Fajardo blasted in from close range with seven minutes to spare to snatch the victory for the Panamanians.

It leaves Horvath's USA team in second place on three points with two of the three group games having been played.
