£42,000

Sat Jun 29, 2024 3:26 pm

Went down to the club shop a while ago to pick up the new shirt.
A bloke who works there was saying they’d taken just over £42,000 in 3 hours.
Surely a sign that fans are happy to part with their money for a proper badge!

To be fair that's less than 1000 shirts, so not massive sales really

That's roughly 300 an hour ... or 5 a minute for a 3hr spell... . what about online sales? The Time to dismiss lack of sales is a week after go on sale so can form a more accurate opinion then..

I remember when we first moved in to our Stadium, the Club shop was taking a £mill a month on merchandise.

We should sell 40,000 minimum a club with an average home attendance of 22,000

Plus Robbie Fowler signed for us at Ninian Park we sold over 20,000 shirts with his name on.

Problem is, the club has alienated a LOT of people over the years, people who have been Bluebirds for a very long time.

They have a lot of making up to do and a long path to walk down before it's like it was.

Step in the right direction though.

Not sure that's true the last 10 years have seen our biggest average attendances year in year out for a very long time .
