Good money as a 3rd/4th choice goalkeeper so will never have to play a game or even worry about being in the matchday squad.

Just turn up to training every day and take the money.

Can't blame him one bit. Near enough a million a year probably, no pressure, and playing football with players you wouldn't normally be anywhere near

At his age, 38, an amazing deal.

Most players are retired by then.

He gets to keep fit, help the youngsters, get paid and still be a part of a squad.

Good luck to him and I respect it.

For younger players willing to take the cash and never play, barring a crisis, my respect disappears somewhat.
