Cardiff City are in talks with another Winger:

Brighton winger Jeremy Sarmiento has had talks with Cardiff City over a permanent move, but also Ipswich are considering making a move for the winger after his loan spell their last season.

Sarmiento played 14 games for Brighton in 2021

Since then has been on loan at WBA & Ipswich Town

The 22 year old is well rated in the Championship.

Brighton are willing to let the Winger leave.

Annis, I think this would be a real statement of intent. Excellent at this level. Just a good striker to go with him (if we get him) and Willock.

No one has said he’s def signing

The fact that we have actually spoken to him about playing for us shows intent on our behalf. Most of these don't come off but at least we're trying to get the right people in. The striker is the big issue & they are the hardest to get.

Well he just turned 22 and in that time has played 54 games in Premiership and Championship and has 21 caps for his country Not bad for a lad who has just turned 22. However I do see the point you are making

What if anything does this mean for Karlan Grant?

If this lad signs then as wingers we would have Willock, O'Dowda, the new lad, Tanner as well as Isaak Davies and Meite who can both play wide. Would we need Grant?

I appreciate that Bulut may be looking to use O'Dowda and perhaps Tanner as more of a wing back but Grant's wages can't be cheap so signing this lad may have an effect on Grant returning?

We definitely do, but our midfield is still poor and a good striker won’t get the service.

So, we still need to recruit across the team.

We certainly seem to be shopping in the right shops this summer; not the whoops section of Asdas like the last few seasons!
