Here’s hoping. Fatigue to be expected rests here and there. But injury free season please!

We all know the quality he has but like you say the fitness is the worry.

If we get 30 games from him where he plays 70 minutes, then we’ll have a good season.

After last season I'd probably settle for 20-25.

He’s not going to be very productive if he’s only being given 20-25 minutes…. At least give him half a game to be able to show something

Would it be better if he was brought on for 2nd half in new season , he will rip through the opposition then and less likely to get injured if just playing last 30-40 mins

The key to Ramsey is keeping him fit . He seems to be a fragile player in his later years He is a game changer if he avoids injury

Agree. Needs to be managed so his contribution is positive and prolonged.

I’ve said before and I’ll stick by it, play him for home games only as that’s where we tended to need someone to unpick the lock of a defensive team.
This way his body will (most of the time) have nearly 2 weeks to recover fully. A good few days rest after the match and training up to next match rather than rushing it Saturday - Tuesday - Saturday.

If he's plan A, then we're in trouble. The likelihood of him playing >50% of minutes is unlikely if we're being honest, isn't it?

I prey he has an injury free season as he's the best player in this division by a mile and a pleasure to watch when fit. I hope we recruit or have enough cover that we can manage him to get the best out of him.

I agree that sounds the best chance we have of keeping him fit, also no travel so he can build a regular fitness regime with no changes and dodgy pitches or training grounds.

Totally that :thumbright:
If he’s gonna be playing every game then it’s gona end badly , I’m sure bulut sees this now .
On the other hand ramseys probably asking to play most of game cos of his enthusiasm and love for the game

I wish I was able to confidently say that we will see him a lot more this season.

I don't think we will though, and we need to have quality ready to step in as and when he's injured or rested.

Can Turnbull fill that gap? Yet to be seen. Is Rubin ready? I don't think he is yet.

Bulut needs to manage him correctly this season.

As good as Ramsey is, we can't bank on him being fit at all. We need to plan without him and if he stays fit, that's a bonus.

Interesting that Ramsey has played a bit deeper in pre-season. He’s done well there too.

I think Turnbull and Colwill are two decent options.

But it also makes sense that we are being linked with attack minded midfielders like McAteer.

A fully fit Ramsey and injury free, would be the best player in the Championship

I know he’s trained all Summer and had specialists 24/7

He’s looking good

I think we’re all desperate for Rambo to prove the doubters wrong.

You’re right, he is simply the best player in the Championship if he stays fit, even now.

One thing is for sure, you can’t doubt his efforts to get his body right for this season. If he fails it’s down to his body not his application.

He’s setting a real example for the rest of the squad.

Agreed he deserves special treatment and plenty of rest, let his specialists say when he can play and I think tat should be home games only, we could find a different style away anyway without him, playing on the break.

I think I've read they are going to play Ramsey deeper this year, just fingers crossed he stays fit, he could play anywhere he wants.

I would use Rambo at home.

We were dreadful at home last season.
Less traveling for him and less games too.
Just my opinion... :old:
