No they brought in alot of money the past 2 seasons. Lewis Potter went for over £20m. Philogene brought in £13m. Greaves for over £20m. Allsop gone for £1m. Think the total player sales in the past 3 seasons is well over £60m.

Hull's most up-to-date accounts show a £21m loss for last season, and an 86 per cent increase in wages. They are pushing it fine. The 3 year accumulation average won't be far off and I think they are gambling on promotion (again).

They’re being linked with all sorts of players (like us). They won’t sign them all or they’d have a 50 man squad.

I have a feeling it’s all going to go wrong for them, something doesn’t feel right.

Ned owner is a bit like tan doesn't appear to have much knowledge of championship? He bought in loads of greek/Turkish players over past two seasons hasn't worked now got rid of them and is starting again ..... wasted millions by look of things....
Not sure he's aware of ffp because no promotion could land them with fire sale next season to balance books.

Hull City are interested in signing Scott McKenna on a free transfer, after the centre-back left Nottingham Forest following his contract expiring this summer.

The 27-year-old made over 100 appearances for the Reds, which included starring as they won promotion back to the Premier League in 2022.

Hull City are set to confirm the signing of striker Brandon Thomas-Asante from Championship rivals West Bromwich Albion in what is a significant boost to Tim Walter's attacking options.

Albion and the Tigers have struck an agreement which will see the 25-year-old frontman sign a three-year contract at the MKM Stadium with the option of a fourth. Hull Live understands Thomas-Asante will be in attendance when City host Italian giants Fiorentina in their penultimate friendly of pre-season on Tuesday night.

Reports emerged on Monday suggesting that City were paying in the region of £2.5m for the striker, but Hull Live understands from sources close to the deal that the final fee agreed with Albion is significantly less than the originally reported figure and well below £2m, which is viewed by Tigers bosses as smart business for a key performer at one of their rivals.

Championship club Hull City are edging closer to securing one of their top summer transfer targets as business gathers pace at the MKM Stadium with just under a week until the new Championship season kicks off.

Ecuadorian starlet Oscar Zambrano is in talks over a move to City having seen a move to England stall earlier this year, with the Tigers aiming to snare the 20-year-old midfielder in what would be a key arrival into Tim Walter's squad.

The highly-rated LDU Quito ace has represented his country at Under-20 level on 14 occasions, with his potential, and form, catching the eye of a host of English clubs in recent times, including Manchester United, Brighton and Hove Albion, Bournemouth and Luton Town.

There are a few more - Hull - Love to be linked with players ;)

Scott McKenna admits being without a club this summer has been a strange experience as he carefully plots his next move ahead of the new season.

The Scotland international left Nottingham Forest at the end of last season having ended the campaign in Denmark with Copenhagen before going off to play for his country at Euro 2024 in Germany. He remains without a club a week from the start of the new EFL campaign.

Hull City want to sign the left-sided central defender, while talks with Cardiff City have so far come to nothing and there's interest from Glasgow giants Rangers and Spanish outfit Las Palmas are another linked with signing him.

McKenna is biding his time before making his next career move. One of those options on his table is from the MKM Stadium club, but no agreement has yet been struck with City. The 27-year-old remains calm about the situation and what the future may hold.

“It is the first time I have been in this situation," he told the Press and Journal. “It is a bit strange. You are training by yourself and trying to keep fit when other teams are back on pre-season.
