Tue Jul 30, 2024 6:10 pm

Cardiff City were worthy winners tonight at home against League 1 Reading

Callum Robinson double

That’s six goals so far Callum Robinson in pre-season

CARDIFF CITY 2 READING 1
H-T 1-1

Callum Robinson Scores 2 goals

Cardiff City continue prepare their preparations for the 2024/25 season on Wednesday night when they play Reading.

The match at Cardiff City Stadium kicks off at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available and you can also pay on the day. It will also be streamed live on Cardiff City TV.

Hopefully we’ll see Chambers and Willock get more minutes but I expect it will be too soon for Kanga. He’s probably more likely to play against Bristol Rovers on Saturday.

A few fringe players given a chance tonight.

Looks like a number of first team players will play on Saturday instead.

This tells me that none of these will start v Sunderland

Tonight's team and I'm livid

..... what the hell Is Tan/Bulut playing at???? An appalling selection. Even on the bench. Davies? Torn a new a**ehole by Potters Bar. King? Ashford?

I've lost complete interest already.

Got a good mind to turn round and go home.

I know ill get sh*t for this, but I'm absolutely fuming.

The fact Rovers is Saturday? That Doesn't wash with me. This is the type of 'fitness' we need in the last few friendlies.

Should have played this behind closed doors if this was the side we were always gonna put out.

This is good, some players have a last chance to show us what they can do and also their next steps (loan out, first team or U23)

All managers mix & match sides in pre season friendlies that's what they're there for......

Bulut picks the team. I’m guessing the ones not playing are in his plans for Saturday and probably the Saturday after batting signings and injuries.

What does Tan have to do with the team that's playing tonight? Do you know something we don't ?

Scored quite a few in these friendlies then.

Are you at the game or watching on tv? All of my devices say I need a video package, which I have, are the friendlies not available abroad? Can't get anyone at the club to reply to an email.

Two goals tonight caused by fannying about at the back.

Get the ball up field more quickly

Agree with Wez and Monty, both Robinson and Bagan have had a good pre season.

Robinson will obviously stay but wouldn’t be surprised if Bagan was loaned out.

I think and hope we will be trying to sign another LB anyway.

HT: 1-1

Quite an even half with both teams having spells of good play

Clear to see that this is a second string team from us. A few of them may be loaned out over the next month, but I’m also aware that Bulut says he intends to have a big squad

Two goals from turnover errors. Chambers looks a class act and very comfortable on the ball. Davies should be no where near the first team yet. Colwill continues to flatter to deceive. He just can't finish. Kpakio is a surprise package from preseason. Impressed with Reading. Think they'll be top six in league one next year.

So apparently my international season pass only applies for league games & I have to pay for this separately, nope not happening.

No where near out first 11 I suspect that Bulut wants to have a look at a few of the Fringe players before deciding whether to loan them out or keep them as part of our squad. Reading giving us a decent test I think Chambers as looked very composed and Bagan playing well and Colwilllooking good but lost possession twice. I honestly think Robinson could do well this season looks a lot more committed and fully fit. Good pre season work out so far :old: :ayatollah:
