“ 7-1 Humiliating “

Ferencvaros send TNS out of Champions League - https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/arti ... erv7241pno

7-1 Humiliation - TNS, the best the FAW Premier League can offer, dumped out of a Champions League Qualifier.

When is this farce going to end?

Cardiff, Swansea, Newport and Wrexham need to be representing Cymru on the European stage - not a bunch of waiters, mechanics, teachers and candle stick makers.

I get TNS are a "professional" club, but what are they beating every week to be consistent Welsh representatives?

The standard is no better than that of the Dog & Duck league - and there is no interest in it whatsoever.

FAW suits need to wake up and smell the coffee.

I disagree with you on this every time , a Welsh team beaten fair and square but giving their all . What is humiliating is a championship team like Cardiff and I am a Cardiff fan by the way humiliated by Swansea , Rotherham and others last season and the team not giving their all , that’s humiliating.

If there's a way it can happen while we stay in the English setup, 100%.
But I don't think the FA will allow it.

Our last time in Europe we lost 8-3 on aggregate and couple years before 6-1 So we were not doing great at the time either. Yes we had some great years but towards the end we were not great

We were lower leagues most of the time or always struggling

If we were in it now, we would attract better players to our club and we certainly would not be going out every time and hammered.

We play in the Championship one of the toughest leagues now in Europe.

We need Wales to have better and stronger clubs representing us.

Otherwise we will continue to not only the majority of our clubs out first rounds , but hammered.

The only first round one win we had from 1972 onwards was against Derry City other than that we were knocked out at first round and our last 3 first round games we lost overall by 18 goals to 4 overall so we were crap as well
I am sure we would do better now thou. Welsh league football will never do anything in Europe

I hadnt thought about it until now but Derry was a side that is resident in the Northern part of the Island of Ireland yet they represented the Irish republic

They are so why not us?

You want better representation then push for the English League Welsh clubs to join the Welsh League.

THAT is the only way we will get into Europe.

We know the rules, they were set in stone when the Welsh League was set up.

We cannot have our cake and eat it. The advantage we would get over clubs in the Championship would cause ructions.

So by all means, let's join the Welsh Premier League. It will up their quality by about 10% and drop ours by about 90%

There's a simple solution!
Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Wrexham all leave the English league system and join the league of wales.

And why would we leave the 5th best league in Europe to join a league which has the equal standing of 8th or 9th tier in the English pyramid system?
