Agree. Tbf I was quite impressed with the manner in which the youngsters held their own not just yesterday but in bulk of friendly games so far. A good crop seems to be on brink of making 1st team. Hopefully when/if given chance in league not Micky mouse cup they take it.

Yes a very good spot and definitely some very promising youngsters there. It does make you wonder why the U21's have struggled the last couple of seasons.

I'm sure we'll see 2 or 3 loans coming into the club and some of our youngsters going out on loan (hopefully to EFL clubs) but fingers crossed some stay and push for a place in the match day squad.
