We had problems last season, no real link between the back and up top, a manager who had to inherit a poor squad with an embargo, and no real service to an already poor strike force.

Fast forward to now.

A solid free signing in Willock, one of the best pieces of business I've seen from us in quite some time in El Ghazi, and Chambers who already looks a class act.

Ramsay playing deeper, proving to be the link moving forward, Robbo looking back to his best with a point to prove, and some exciting young lads coming through.

We aren't done yet and I'm hoping for more incoming and outgoing.

We have trimmed the wage bill greatly and got some money back on players surplus to requirements.

Sure, there will be posters who disagree with me, but I feel that we are on the right path here.

Agree, I’ve been feeling a lot more positive the last few days.

Talk of a new centre back to cover/compete with Goutas and Chambers.

I think if we can sign Robertson and a new left back, we will be looking good.

Only a week to go now until the season starts and there’s real reasons to feel optimistic.

Looking good come start season will hopefully look even better! But guess some people will complain didn't do work earlier as several new players not upto speed yet? But that's football nothing simple when comes to signing players.

For the first time in ages there seems a plan that isn’t get anyone signed so we have squad. Some good additions. It shows too you don’t need to spend £ on transfer fees. We could do with a good quality loan or two that being said.
