Cardiff -v- Sunderland - (Are the club expecting trouble)

Sat Aug 03, 2024 12:09 pm

Just watching the news today regarding the trouble at Sunderland last night and listening to one guy from Sunderland who said people, wearing Sunderland shirts, were involved in the trouble and did not show Sunderland, and the club, in the manner in which they would want to.

My initial thoughts then jumped to the fact that the person involved in the Southport murders had connections in Cardiff

If anyone has any connections with the club (a) are they expecting any trouble and (b) Is anything in place to minimise any potential trouble.

I hope I am adding 2 + 2 and making 5 - but I think it would be remiss of the club not to considered any potential.

I would expect the club and the police will be preparing for this possibility.

Like you say, hopefully nothing happens, but I’m sure all parties will be preparing for the possibility.

No why would they see fellow football fans who wouldn't give a fk if he's Cardiff Newport Swansea or anywhere else in UK (in terms of defending his actions) or attacks to football fans/ people in same city

Why are Sunderland thugs taking it upon themselves to act against something that happened in Southport anyway ?

Just opportunistic criminality if you ask me.
