By the time of our next home league game

Our next home league game is against Middlesbrough on 31st August.

By then, we will know our full squad for the season because the transfer window will have closed the night before.

Robertson will have also become part of the starting line up and El Ghazi will be ready for minutes from the bench.

There could be around four new signings so that would be six players who will be part of the squad that didn’t play yesterday.

I’m not saying they will all be starters, but everyone will have a clearer picture of how good or bad we are then.

The general consensus seems to be that our two best signings so far have been Robertson and El Ghazi. Neither of them were involved yesterday.

I’ve seen fans saying we need to replace Tanner and Ralls from the starting line up. Well, we have but they just weren’t ready yet.

Robertson will have a full week of training so could be in contention to start at Burnley.

Hopefully at least one through the door this week. A big three weeks ahead with not just games but more incomings certain.

Kanga brings something different from what we already have but he can't do it alone all season, and it's too early to judge if he's going to score 10+.

I agree a LB and a striker should be priority. O'Dowda rarely gives less than 100% but he's not a LB but he is one of our best creative players going forward.

We need 4 quality players.

I wasn't impressed with most of it yesterday. NG was awful and he's clearly still making his way back after surgery.

Maybe something like this by the time Boro comes around....

Absolutely 100% need a striker have done for years

Whoever it is he needs to be a “proper” striker that will be able to hack 46 games a season. He doesn’t need to score 20 goals but 10-15 at a minimum

He won’t come cheap but it’s what we need!!

We really need to find some new players who can go straight into the team and play 90 minutes and have an immediate impact , not having to wait a month or six weeks before they get fit.

Maybe so, but we won't be in May.

All this talk of getting a striker is fine but we need to create the chances. We give teams too much time to organise themselves.
As for expecting a draw at Burnley?
I’ll be hoping we can get something but that’s looking unlikely based on yesterday. I hope I’m proved wrong.
