Today's football fan.

I don't care how much hate I get for this post.

The ones crying for buluts head or saying no difference in last year, bollocks.

We are a club that are transitioning, had a lot of managers that didn't work. We needed stability.

We have to give time to the manager to build his team and back office.

Limited funds are an issue. Some of you make out we can buy players for 10m. We can't.

Do I like the football we play? No.

At the same time I'm realistic.

Some people on here are very entitled, deluded and spoilt.

Largely agree with you but its not just football fans. It's the Amazon generation. No patience, 'I want it now attitude.' That said yesterday really spolit my weekend and I was not impressed with how easily points were gifted to Sunderland. I understand fans disappointment too. But patience is needed especially as it may get worse in terms of results at the start of this season. As always give it 10 games.

Respect to you for your first comment.

The next one I don't agree with. From what we saw yesterday, there's no difference from how we played last season. Too passive, too slow, very little penetration, limited pressing, poor defending, we played exactly how Sunderland thought we were going to play and they deserved the win.

Unless Bulut can change his tactics, he's not the manager to bring stability to Cardiff city, only relegation.

The new signings so far have been beyond what I expected but I don't think it matters who we sign, Bulut is the issue not the players.

With the fixtures coming up, we could well be in a relegation fight by the end of September. For his sake, he needs to change tactics now or he could be sacked.

Hmmm.

I’ve said my piece about the game yesterday. My view is in the minority on here in that I thought we were the better team in terms of gameplay, but not on the scoreline.

I actually think the way we played was more attacking than at any point at home last season.

I do agree that fans expect quick results. But that’s just the way people think in 2024, and not just in football.

In football, you could argue that they have good reasons to demand instant results. Given that footballers today are paid an awful lot of money plus they have exceptional pitches to play and train on.

You could also say it’s demanding too much.

I think a lot of the negative responses were knee jerk reactions straight after full time, that’s often the case. Some have stuck by their view to be fair.

Where I don’t agree is giving fans who have a different view a label, like “spoilt” and “entitled”.

They are full paying fans like the rest of us and have the right to express their opinion on the performance.

I don’t agree with many of them and have many disagreements on here but I won’t label them things like that because I do respect they saw the game slightly differently to me.

It’s not up to us fans to tell other fans what to think about the game, thank god.

I can't believe after one game I'm reading what I read on this message board.

Just look back over the last few seasons, as it's be stated we're still in transition.

Last season we were all excited to finally see a foreign manager take us on, but it was his first season in the championship, a league everybody describes as the toughest league out there. We had no money to spend and a squad that resembled a jigsaw with pieces missing and no picture to follow.

Now this season, we've had a better transfer window, as yet spent very little, we still have is it 3 loan slots available to fill and maybe some cash to splash.

Some of our new players didn't even play on Saturday and already fans are throwing their toys out of their prams, one game !!!.

Apart from the first 15mins it became a hard watch, too slow, to predictable, but jesus, one game in, not our preferred starting 11, with more to join us I'm sure.

The season is a long enough slog for us fans at the best of times, but let's just support the team and see where we are after 10 games.

Went with my old man to see the game on Saturday, first time in years, and I thought we played quite well, can't believe how negative some of the people on here are, never be happy!

We'll do fine this year I think, and I'll try and get down for some more games :ayatollah:
