Absolutely Spot on / Enough of all this Shit:

Many on here and especially Glen Williams aka Media Wales

Going on about Our players to young, need more time, toughen up , loan them out, yet not one in 14 yrs has come back to make it as a Championship player.

17/18 yes maybe, but once your 19,20 etc you are either good enough or move them on, but play them if they are good enough.

JOEL COLWILL IS QUALITY / SHOULD BE STILL HERE KNOCKING ON THE FIRST TEAM:

Conti / Joel Colwill / Ashford and a few others are old enough and good enough, keep sending them out or not playing them and NONE will end up making it.

We did not start with one player that had come through???

Play some of Our Best Youngsters:

Below is Spot on:

And Sunderland with the youngest but mediocre team Won 2 nil in Cardiff.

If they are as good as everyone at the club and media keeping saying then play them, being called Stars, play these Stars.

Annis. Conte played last game of the season and he was superb.

A breath of fresh air. Quick and direct his first thought was to attack. Suddenly everyone around me got excited and the atmosphere changed dramatically. I cannot see why he couldn’t stay start ahead of Tanner. What Bullit must do is give them an gi and just tell them to attack and not get bogged down with the defensive side. Their natural enthusiasm will do this. If you start attacking the opposition drop deeper and the crowd get behind the team. Give him a chance.

Very true.

Always say if they’re good enough, they’re old enough.

Ashford, Conte, Joel Colwill etc should have got more games at the end of last season.

I hope some get a chance tomorrow with a view to playing at Burnley if they do well.

But I also say that if they’re not good enough then they should go. Doesn’t matter if they’re an academy player, if they don’t offer much then there’s no point keeping them - Rubin Colwill I’m talking about you.

Absolutely Ned,

If not good enough move them out straight away.

If good enough stop loaning them, play them.

Age doesn't matter.

If they are good enough, they are good enough.

Other teams take their youngsters and throw them into first team football, some as young as 16. Give them a go, if not good enough move them on.

Its simple really but lots of people saying give them time. Its not time they need. It's GAME time.

A lot of them could do a job in our first team already.

We are a club that ruins young players.

Exactly that’s my point.

But many on here and Media Wales keep saying they are only kids send them out etc etc and guess what All fail.

Joel Colwill should still be here.

After watching Saturday I can honestly say that I didnt see anything different from last season, yes know its first game but watching other games highlights I cannot believe how slow we are, it also seemed as though the pitch slowed the ball down dramatically.

can you blame him ? we lost to a good Sunderland team on the weekend and some of the fans reactions, wow. i seen people calling for him to get the sack, people saying he's clueless. let's say he play the kids against sunderland and lost 3/4-0 at home, everyone would be up in arms, his job is to win, not test the youngsters

Its ridiculous that some people have said those things I agree.

But I genuinely believe that some of our youngsters would improve our team.

There's no point playing aging players week in week out against teams significantly younger than ours. Especially the midfield.

Our midfield is old. We need to inject some youth and pace. Aside from Robertson, I can't see them getting game time. King deserves his shot.

Colwill needs to take his chances, and he did on the weekend. He looked to drive us forward.

We must beat Burnley , draw at Jacks and beat Boro and fans will start believing otherwise I can see big pressure starting immediately as I don’t see us any better than last August / September.

Blame him? Explain

A young Sunderland team / mediocre / I know unbelievable amounts of Mackems and all expected to lose.

That’s the point they are not kids / youngsters

Well he never played them and we lost at home and did not look like scoring.

Well he never and we lost to a mediocre team and the youngest in the Championship.

They will only improve if played if they are as good as the Club / Bulut and Media say they are.

The problem with some are if we beat Rovers in the Cup they get carried away.

We beat Welsh League sides / one German and Rovers and some thought we were suddenly world beaters, I said then, they were just friendlies, never get carried away No matter what the scores are.

Breaking Erol Bulut:

"We will try to use young players and new players on Tuesday against Bristol Rovers.”

“ We need to give them more minutes."

“Robertson I could start him.”

I suppose we can get carried away in both directions. I fully agree that we need to be braver, particularly at home and that the injection of a couple of younger players will provide the pace we so sorely lack.
I don’t think it’s a case of we’ve got to win here or there’s going to be a mutiny. We just want to see better performances and then the results will come.

Re: Absolutely Spot on / Enough of all this Shit:

Mon Aug 12, 2024 3:43 pm

All the friendlies we had wen the youngsters were playing was alot more injection of pace and even the passing was quicker
Very very surprised Joel has gone again
He needs to be bringing on conte , kpakio , king etc it’s bloody obvious ,
But he’s bottling it

One match in, yeah yeah, fantastic! I am starting to lose patience however ridiculous that sounds at this stage.

Everyone above is correct of course as well as the OP who has stuck to his view for at least 2 seasons now.

FFS Erol, don't TRY to play the younger guys / academy graduates, just throw them in NOW and also give them game time up at Burnley and upcoming Championship matches!

Enough is enough, use the young players now or just move them on.
Stop bottling it and worrying about your reputation or losing - grab your nuts and do something positive because we lost our first home match - with the squad we have, fully utilised, we should do better.

TBH, I cannot see us getting anything from any of those games, Burnley will be hot favouries, We have to turn up at Jacks and Middlesboro look strong. I see no point in playing youngsters against the Gas, they need to be getting time in the Championship games. It tells me that the Cup is already one we arent interested in. Less Cup games then he isnt going to play youngsters in Championships.

Speaking to Sunderland fans Saturday they really thought they were going to lose that, in the end they didnt even get out of second gear tbh. Ng looked unfit and the rest seemed slow,

12 games I will sum Bulut up.

This is about why we’re none of our so called Stars that Our Club / Media / Manager and Fans have been raving about like myself not in the first team to start?

Not one?
