I take every First Team Game Seriously and tonight’s game v League 1 Bristol Rovers at home means a lot.
If you do well in the Cup it lifts Spirits
A Winning mentality is good for moral
The further we go the more the rest of the squad get games in
Doing well , brings publicity, money and gets the fans excited

Agreed, every game matters and hope we win tonight.
Don’t forget that we had a great run in the competition in 2012, unlucky not to beat Liverpool in the final. They need penalties and a missed sitter by Kenny Miller to win.
As you say, winning brings confidence to the rest of the squad.
Need to get our first win as soon as possible, no matter what the competition.

The approach to these type of games over the last few seasons has left much to be desired.
Really loved both League Cup and FA Cup Finals - never thought I'd see my club at Wembley for a cup final in my lifetime let alone two!
There are only three competitions that the club enters in a season (don't count that funny competition named after a car or something) and I'd like to see us have a good go in each whilst appreciating that certainly the early stages of the competitions does provide an opportunity for young players and fringe players to show what they can do.

Also, it gives the players a chance to put themselves forward to be picked in the league.

Bristol Rovers are making changes from the first team that played on Saturday and fielding many of the rest of their Squad and younger players

If the last decade or so is to go by, we will draw 1-1 tonight ( and lose on penalties ).

Agree with you Annis - as I said last night this was a game we had to win for All of the above
