Turnbull injured in the warm up, King comes in for him

First competitive starts for Kpakio, Giles, Robertson, Conte and Kanga!

Lots of talking points from team news, including a debut for Alex Robertson and first start for Wilfried Kanga up front.

Mark McGuinness, who is the subject of intense transfer interest from Glen Williams, returns to the XI alongside Joel Bagan at centre-half. Luey Giles gets the nod at left back.

Raheem Conte, who deputised at right back at the end of last season, is given his head on the wing. Andy Rinomhota starts over Eli King in the middle of the park.

Michael Reindorf has been rewarded with a bench spot after scoring six goals for the U21s since his arrival this summer.

Strong team, stronger than I expected actually.

Interested to see how Robertson and Kanga do on their full debuts.

A starting line up that should be enough to get through :bluebird:

Decent side that.

Wonder how attacking we will be with Robertson and Turnbull.

I'd imagine Kpakio will want to get forward as he has done in other games.

No excuses should be strong enough team, but very little firepower on the bench

Why is Rhino starting in front of King?? That makes absolutely no sense at all

That is indeed a strong team. That team could have quite easily been picked against the Mackems!

Wouldn't go that far. Rinomhota is in there!

Yeah I agree with you about King, he should have started but hopefully we'll see him in the second half.

Great to see MM in the team.

I want to know what King has to do to get game time.

Crazy he can't even get into the 11 for a first round game, over someone who isn't going to feature at all and has no future at the club.
