Never been a fan of bulut

He sets up not to lose, but the football is poor , I don't care who we sign his tactics are poor , he will be gone by Xmas I hope

I am a fan of Bulut but that first half was pathetic, only Robertson comes out of it with any credit

I know you are Ned and that's fine we all have opinions...but the loss at Swansea and the last 2 games of last season I Don t think he instills and commands respect. His tactics are poor, keep possession pass back or sideways his tactics have the dna of a crab

Why play Bagan at CB. Will he learn anything from being plonked there. Just don't understand???

I am in the Bulut in camp, as most know. I do not agree with the style of football, but we are seeing signs of that changing.

To be fair, you've been Bulut out a long time, I respect that you didn't jump back and forth like a lot did.

Matt I always respects others view, we cannot all have the same view... but I will give him time.. and hope... hope he will prove me wrong but I won't hold my breath.. we all have the same goal... we want city to do well.

Bagan played their all pre-season, and tbf he’s not really put a foot wrong since playing there.
Maybe this is Bulut trying to improve the defensive side of his game?

I know, how dare he try and help a young player’s career by seeing that he could be effective in a different position??

What a p***k Bulut is!!

I hope you wrong. But the evidence certainly backs it up. His teams so far have been awful to watch. Hopefully we seeing the last of this football in next couple of weeks.

You talk like you're on a different higher plane to most of us mere mortals sometimes Worcester. It can be quite belittling. Not sure why you feel the need to be like that

Not how it’s intended to come across, so I apologise if that’s how it does.

But to say it’s “unbelievable” that Bagan played CB is unbelievable in itself. Bulut has clearly been trying him in that position throughout pre-season.

What’s more, Bagan did alright there.

bulut and the youngsters got the job done last night without any of the more creative players we've bought over the summer. yes at times it was awful to watch but take the positives. reinhold looked bright as did Evans when he came on. bagan can play centre half if required in an emergency but we do need better. under previous managers we'd have lost that game and be moaning quite rightly.

Agree with that.

Got through to the next round but that first half was awful.

What, because he doesn't agree with you? :laughing6:

Debate your point.. its only words on a screen!

We may be a CB down before this window closes, a game like last night is ideal to gain experience. I may be wrong, but maybe its good planning and a well earned clean sheet; whatever the opposition.

Good thread, interesting.

Also never been a Bulut fan despite being a little curious and optimistic when he was recruited and thinking hes a nice bloke. I have consistently despaired at him, been puzzled by him and did not want him to re sign for us in the summer. I am fed up to the back teeth of Bulutball. Last season particularly at home was terrible.

A pre season , a league game a cup game, Still, isolated striker, no bodies in the box, at times clueless with interplay and being clinical in the final third, wayward passes and cheap give aways.

The pace, wing play creativity and press has slightky improved, not enough. It still goes side to side and backwards more than is necassary, boosting opponents confidence. It still fells rigid and stifled, like these players have had the shite coached out of them.

I was ok with him trying Bagan at CB, Rubin good last 20 mins, Reindorf eye catching, Robertson good.

And once again Bulut fans on this very thread, say, 'first half .pathetic ' (against Bristol Rovers!!)' I dont agree with the style of football', 'awful to watch', no change from last season then. Interesting.

We all want City to do well, we care, we want a winning mentality, starting against Kidderminster Harriers first game. Bulut fans were happy with our points haul of last season and that was enough for them, I respect that, no criticism from me. However, Some of us also want better football to watch, actually work their goalkeeper and defenders let them know they have been in a tough game, ask questions! Go for it when teams are there for the taking, change formation lose all predictability, have variety.

As I keep saying , prove me wrong Erol! No encouragement or evidence of that happening sadly

Not say I agree with your thoughts about Bulut but fair play, you’ve made your points well.

Good post.
