Sorry for being negative

Wed Aug 14, 2024 1:58 pm

I'm being honest.

I'm sorry for being negative but I can see a world where after 7 games we will have 2 to 4 points and be deep in the relegation zone...

Can't see us getting anything out of Burnley,Leeds,Boro or Hull... Maybe we pick up points against Derby and Swansea... At that point I think Tan would pull the trigger and the merry-go-round starts again.

Saturday's game is a free shot against the team who are going to walk this division imo.

The watershed will be Swansea away... Defeat there and the mood music will really change when we're rock bottom with zero from three.

Hope I'm wrong but I just can't see where the goals are coming from.

Great win last night, even against a League One team.

Winning brings confidence to the rest of the squad.

I agree, but I can't see a win. If we beat Swansea it will make the difference, the club will be on a high and off we go, if we lose..........

I think things will take a few weeks to click, but one they do then we’ll be looking good.

Some people, understandably perhaps, will say that they expect that to happen now.

I m inclined to agree, but City are a strange side and the pull out the supprises occasionaly, but on paper we do look weak.
Burnley will murder us

I think no matter the results, we need to stick with Bulut.
We’ve had too many merry go rounds the last few seasons. There’s a very good chance that we are in the relegation zone middle of September, but we’ve got some very, very tough fixtures coming up.

If Tan pulls the trigger, we are back to square one. Everyone must back Bulut.

Not negative at all.

Gutted that theres pretty much no change to last seasons one trick pony Bulutball tactic including pre season. Slightly better press speed of passing and wing play. Still the striker is isolated and not enough bodies in the box, still to many wayward passes and cheap give aways. We are still predictable for our opponent, these things have not been fixed, and I have little evidence or encouragement that they will.

Normally I say 12 games, before we start discussing a change its crazy to consider that right now, give the manager a chance to prove and try things. I have never been a Bulut fan, cant stand his tactic so given the debacle at Rotherham and how we have started, I say 6 to 8 games before we should discuss such things if things go poorly. I honestly think hes almost out of his depth, and at times hapless. Im just back from Turkey watched a few games on TV , spoke to local football fans, he is more suited style wise out there.

When City fans say 'Im a Bulut fan' , would love to know what they are actually a fan of? Not a criticism, a curious observation and genuine question.

Hes a good fella, impressed me on the open day at the stadium. I maintain that I hope he proves me wrong.

Great post mate.
A very interesting question, that has never occurred to myself. Would love to know as well what they are a fan of. Hopefully a few will enlightened us on their viewpoint.

2 nil down v Sunderland and 6 mins of stoppage time added,we pass it around the back for the whole 6 mins.
That is this manager's tactic.

That’s just not true. For 2/2.5 of those six minutes, Sunderland had the ball. Other times we had the ball at the edge of the box but admittedly didn’t do anything with it.

The game was done at 0-2 anyway with fans leaving in their thousands. I stayed until the end and by then the stadium was nearly empty in the home ends.

But it’s not the manager’s tactics. Over the course of the game we were moving the ball forwards. I think Ralls had the second most forward passes in the whole league.

Watch any team who are 2-0 down in injury time, there’s rarely anything they can do to get the game back.

It was great game management. Securing that two nil home defeat. If we tried to get back in the game we’d risked losing by one more goal which would have been so much worse.

He was 4th in the league. Completed 64 of which only 10 went forward

You obviously watched a different 6 mins to me then.
