Looking through the current Premier League teams for the upcoming season and I land on Chelsea and am amazed how they have so many players

Previous seasons had as many as 30 players out on loan!

They’ve also just extended Palmer’s contract until 2033.

Absolute madness, you can’t know if a player will still be good in nine years time.

They have for years just bought loads of players and hoped. Most of them didn't work out and ended up on the pile.

Agree; and come the season start they can only name a 23 man squad for the Premier League…

Some teams are going to get some decent loanees from the (so called) dregs of that squad…

From what I've been told by a Chelsea supporter, the owners get involved far too much in transfer dealings. That seems to be the norm in US sports but it could be Chelsea's downfall. Let's have some of your excess players!
