How much time does Bulut get?

Sat Aug 17, 2024 4:27 pm

We know Tan likes to get rid of managers fairly quickly if they go on a bad run so how much time do you think he’ll give Bulut?

If we lose the next 2 and we don’t score with us going into the international break do you think he’ll go?

We hardly ever play well at Swansea away never mind win and last season Middlesbrough took us apart at home.

I’m not saying I want him gone as I don’t and really hope he succeeds but lose those 2 and he will be under a lot of pressure.

We desperately need a proven goal scorer asap and a natural left back imo.

Crazy to leave Ramsey on for 90 again today he should have been dragged off after 60.

I did not want him to stay with us. But clean slate and was behind him for new season, , I was worried in pre season games that he still was isolating the striker and had the slow build up. Enough is enough. To stubborn and predictable. He needs to drastically change things to alter perception , and it’s poor management that if he does this, he’s doing it now rather than pre season. Just awful

I'd give him until about 8pm this evening but then I wouldn't have given him a new contract.

Seriously though he has to be given at least six games but I think signing new players between now and the end of the window will become much harder for two reasons

1. Players won't want to sign for a team that will clearly struggle this season
2. They won't want to sign for a manager who may not be at the club in a few weeks time.

He’s had all the time required to make a judgement. Not good enough.

Re: How much time does Bulut get?

Sat Aug 17, 2024 5:17 pm

He’s had 14 months!

Nothing has changed and it doesn’t matter who we bring in.

Turkish football is very defensive/counter-attacking. How can we sit in and counter attack when we have absolutely no pace and nobody to play that killer ball. We haven’t had a decent striker in years and that trap door will open up and we will find ourselves in League One.

Listening to his post match comments, I judge Bulut to be delusional. Another 2 games like today, then he should be shown the exit door.

If we lose next week, he'll lose the few that still back him. Huge game.

Re: How much time does Bulut get?

I think this is an overreaction to a game where we would of lost either way.
Burnley will be the Leicester of this league and walk to the top and get promotion.
Maybe we are bad but dont forget that Tan wanted him gone but Memet persuaded him to stay.

Personally I would give it until 10 games in then we will know whats what.
It would not surprise me if Cardiff got a result against Swansea.
We just need a few more quality players, Siopis is terrible and Issak Davies out injured for a few months with Etete also injured only Robinson and Meite available to play.

No point sacking Bulut when Tan is backing him in the transfer window. That's how chaos happens. New manager might not want the players Bulut bought then you get unrest in the dressing room then it would snowball like our position in the table. So IF he gets sacked then we would end up being relegated because Tan wont want to spend the cash anymore. And so on.

Get this clown out of our club , totally out of his depth . After we play the jacks we will be bottom of the league with no points and no goals scored . Whoever offered Bulut a new 2 year contract seriously give your head a wobble .
We are not even competitive plus we are a championship team not a Welsh league part time . We are a fully professional one the very least we can be is competitive but we are humiliated again .
I been saying this all year .
PATHETIC

Ten games is a quarter of the season and by then we could be well adrift and in serious trouble.

I will be amazed if we get anything at the rat hole next week.

I agree, give him 6 games.

There's also a point 3

3. Would a player want to sign for a manager that plays negative football, especially if you're a striker.

How can this be an over reaction we are starting the season as we finished last season the worst team in the championship

Re: How much time does Bulut get?

Like the rest of us I am disappointed with the score line and the manner of some of the goals. But being realistic (a) I think most us were expecting a defeat today and (b) Promotion will, in all likelihood, be decided on points obtained and not goals conceded.

I am just being realistic. Yes it was a bad result but, in the grand scheme of things, our prospects of promotion have neither improved or reduced.

I will judge Bulut after 38 games. If we are top 6 give him another contract. If we finish 7th or below - then time to say goodbye.

Just remember, in years gone by, both Crystal Palace and Forest got promoted after spending part of the season in 24th place.

In the last 4 games (back end of last season and first 2 this season) we have shipped 16 goals and scored 2.

And the club wants to sell our best defender, who incidentally didn't play in those 4 games.:banghead:

I don’t think he’ll go yet but if he loses next week, the pressure will be enormous.

I was shocked at how bad the game management was in the second half today.

Still three hours until I’ll be back and I’m still furious with that second half showing.

Problem the club have is he’s now on a two year deal on good money, so won’t be cheap to get rid of him if that’s what they want to do.

Tan was wrong to give him a contract. The last few games last season was enough for me. Last season the home games were mostly dreadful. I never understand fans saying he must stay. Yes we finished higher than the previous season , but we were going from such a low standard. I don’t think I would wait to the jacks game.

Lose against the vermin and the Middlesbrough home atmosphere won’t be a good one, and that helps no one

Did they have the same manager when they were in 24th place as they had when they got promoted?

What about all those fans who were singing about how they wanted Erol to stay only two games ago as relegated Rotherham's fifth goal went in?

Surely their undying love for our manager can't have died so quickly?

Have you ever been impressed with a player but later decided that they’re actually not good enough?

It’s the same thing, people change their minds.

After a whole season I've probably seen enough to make my mind up.

Same with a manager.

I think we've regrettably gotta give him this window to finalise his squad. Then when his squad continue to fail, there is nothing else he can hide behind and the guy (and all his staff) are done. Not even Dalman will be able to talk his way out of it.

All we can do is hope that we at least pick up a few points here and there so we are not too far adrift.

Looking on the bright side, at least we have Carling on tap at home games now haha.
