Surely?
Alnwick was dropped last season for far less than Horvath’s big mistake yesterday.
It wasn’t just that mistake though, he got a lot wrong in the whole game.
Have said in the past that Horvath is the number one but if he doesn’t get dropped after that game then when will he be dropped?
Alnwick is a good shot stopper and should get his chance at Swansea.

Hope he doesn’t make him the scapegoat for his poor management. According to some we were the better team in the first two games you included, so why would we drop him?

Better team in the first 35 minutes, the second half was horrific mismanagement by Bulut so please don’t misquote me.
As for Horvath, he had a shocking game. One major error was just the tip of the iceberg.
I didn’t get into the stadium until just before 2.55pm because I was having a drink but someone on here said he didn’t even look in the mood during the warm up.
Alnwick should get his chance.

I never fully understood why Alnwick was dropped in the first place & he should start the next game.

Last season on the way back from Watford I ended up sitting next to jak,s dad on the train back into London and we got chatting. He said erol has never rated jak and always saw him as a number 2, he also said there was words exchanged after runnerson came in and took the number 1 spot,
I told him I thought jak was man of the match in that Watford game as he made a few good saves to keep it 1-0 and his dad said don't get used to it he will be dropped again soon which he was as horvath signed 2 days before that watford game
Top bloke he was fair play and said he travels down from Newcastle as often as possible to watch us

Alnwick was impressive at the start of last season.
I actually think he's a better keeper.
Hopefully he gets his chance and keeps his place.

You started a whole thread for the Sunderland game best team lost. Admittedly you now changed your opinion but some here think yesterday was good.

I've always thought Alnwick is the better keeper. Many have said Horvath distribution is better which it may well be but that's not a reason to keep picking him over a better keeper.
Unfortunately though, Bulut has his favourites I can see Horvath playing next Sunday.

You’re right about him having his favourites.
Was talking to Annis earlier and we both said the likes of Goutas and Siopis can play as bad as they want because they’ll never be dropped.

Don't know if anyone else noticed but at the final whistle Siopsis pulled off his shirt and disappeared straight down the tunnel before the rest of the team had even left the centre circle. At least most of the players 'eventually' came across to acknowledge the travelling support.

Warnock was same as we know... he as to be dropped if only to save him from the pressure of taking a back pass and getting it even slightly wrong.... but goalies are a parculiar position in that it takes several games of poor form before a hint of getting dropped .... and he's in because Bulut believes his distribution is better than anwicks

Defo needs to be dropped. Although he didn't mean to make the blunder, you can't keep your place after that.
Think Alnwick is the better all round keeper anyway.

Definitely needs to be dropped. I noticed him in the warm up yesterday he didn't look right, body language all wrong and just didn't look confident. Said to my daughter it's as if he knows we are going to have a hiding. First goal I've never seen anything like that in 40 years watching city. Also really poor for goals two and three.

Squad Game ???

He's 6foot4, but looks like a 14 year old in the goals, also. Is it something to do with the vanishing point, or is it my eyes?

I'd agree, I think Alnwick is a better shot-stopper, Horvath is considered a better outfield sweeper keeper type that is supposed to be better at receiving the ball back to feet, although I think that opinion might have changed that goal was shocking and changed the dimension of the game.
He should be dropped after that and I thought he should have saved the second goal too, i would be very surprised if he starts at Swansea, the defence will have no confidence in him whatsoever.
