Anyone been to NI for football?

Tue Aug 20, 2024 10:04 am

I'm heading over to Northern Ireland in Sept and am hoping to catch 1 or 2 games. I'm currently looking at a Crusaders game at Seaview

Has anyone been to see any NI Premiership games?

What is the standard like?

Thou the crowds are bigger it is not much up from league of Wales TNS would be challenging most years.

Yes - I've been to see Glentoran v Glenavon. Crowd was 1200 and was a 4-2 away win. Start of 2nd half was delayed due to netting on one of the goals being loose - linesman had to bring a chair on to the pitch from the clubhouse to fasten it back on! Also the club superstore was just slightly bigger than the average garden she'd:):)

OK thanks all

I'll expect a Welsh league standard game but with a better atmosphere :bluescarf:

I've decided on Portadown and Crusaders over the weekend that I'm there. I dont think they're the top teams but two good ticks to have :thumbright:

Hit the nail on the head. They have tended to just about got the better of League of Wales sides when drawn together but TNS are another thing.
