Siopis Upgrade

I feel we need a sipois upgrade to push to be a top 2 or top 6 side. A holding midfield player who has pace,power,strength, and good passing ability to progress forward. Siopis would be good back up but for me, not dominant enough and always passes sideways or back and doesnt have the pace and power or passing ability to drive us forward with the ball.

Cost a lot that.

Kavanagh would be class.

Surely a good deal out there to be made. A poundland rodri we need, isaac hayden sounded like it could be a good deal and fit. Joel colwill could have been good in that role if tried

I wonder if the Hayden deal is still on?

Probably not

Remember last season he was deemed as the gamechanger of a midfielder we've been crying out years for.

I believe he was that player when he first joined but he seems a different player now - that belief/passion he had when he first joined seems to have been beaten out of him

People get worked out and other teams will do their homework on him.

Unfortunately 1 dimensional players are the first to get found out

Said for so long we need an upgrade at 6, this system and style needs someone at 6 to be able to control the play and dictate the game. Siopis can’t do this. He’s not so bad running with the ball and probably better as a progressive 8 than that pivotal role.

I don't think we need a "6". Surely in this system, it is the job of one of the centre half of full backs to carry the ball into the space. It's all well and good copying Pep, but we don't have those players, maybe Chambers and the new lad are destined for that role.

Siopis is a "ratter" *8" like a Peter Reid of yesteryear but he lacks the physicality to be dominant in the championship. I think the draining nature affected him after 10 games last season, so more rotation (rest) and I think we will see the first version of him
