Don’t understand El Ghazi situation?

Why does it take an already fairly fit professional athlete 2 months to actually get fit?

Re: Latest Injury update on CCFC players:

Good news about Ramsey, I feared he’d be out for another four months.

I hope Ralls’ injury isn’t too serious either.

Re: Latest Injury update on CCFC players:

Good news on Ralls and Ramsey.
I’d go with a midfield of Siopis, Ralls and Robertson on Sunday.

Agreed. Also if he's 75% there, give him some time?

Re: Latest Injury update on CCFC players:

Not for me... I'd like to see Ralls, Ramsey and Robertson. Gives a good balance.

Just because Siopis likes to slide and get dirty knees some people think he's a player. He brings very little in a game like Swansea which is going to be physical.

Ramsey and Ralls understands the game then I'd bring on Colwill with at least 35 left

Crazy are they saying he is not fit enough to give 20mins of required With his experience could be invaluable 20 mins

Yeh I see your point (if AR is fit). Colwill not do much imo.

It’s about fitness to play.

He’s been keeping himself fit individually since he left Mainz in October but that’s completely different to training with a team.

He’ll have a few substitute appearances soon and that will then see him get closer to be available to start.

I suppose it’s like the very start of pre season training for him.

Players come back into pre season and are ready to play in friendly’s after 2 weeks not 2 months???

As I’ve said many times before when our medics are involved you’ll be out for ages. Their self importance and the need to show they know what they are doing is more important to them than actually getting players in the field. This way they keep their jobs.

Because they last played a game a month ago.

El Ghazi last played ten months ago.

If with a club in off season you are given a set regime to make sure when come back they're fit to start.... you see players penalised for being out of condition on return... if no club like el ghazi they're bound to be out of condition in comparison....hence the delay

And he has only signed a contract for a year. And unless we get to the play offs that works out as 9 months in reality i.e almost a quarter of the season! With 5 subs possible he should at least be on the bench by now

Re: Latest Injury update on CCFC players:

Wed Aug 21, 2024 4:41 pm

Surely El Ghazi could do 20mins off the bench

Re: Latest Injury update on CCFC players:

Wed Aug 21, 2024 6:18 pm

Those of you saying he should be playing, if he got 20 mins off the bench and wasn't ready, got injured again, you'd all be screaming about how useless our club is and we should have waiting.

Club doctors and Physios are paid money because they know these things.

It was a groin stain. He thinks he did when he went slipped down the embankment at the side of the pitch at Turf Moor.

Whether O’Dowda is fit or not, he can’t start at left back against the jacks.
He leaves too much space behind because of his positioning!

Giles or Bagan has to start at left back.

Re: Latest Injury update on CCFC players:

Wed Aug 21, 2024 9:23 pm

Got to question the Ramsey incident/injury, as somebody who has a disability with dodgy knees and back and can collapse at any given time without warning watching Ramsey go down after striking the ball wasn’t natural and didn’t look like the effects of bruising. An X-Ray in that situation is useless, an indepth MRI/Catscan would show more.

If they don’t get on top of it and investigate it properly they could be shortening his career.
