The derby win is THE Jack's no 1, before any league position or cup run......

The club drums this in from minute 1.
It's so different from Cardiff.

They will do anything for a win, including attacking the keeper, diving, fouling, quick free kicks, playing the ref.

Be wise cardiff. Be firm, think quick, don't retaliate,

The danger with that is the ref might decide to make an example of one of ours & he sends a player off straight away, wouldn't be the first time.

But yeah I agree, use their own antics against them & do the same rolling around & screaming like they've been hit by a bullet.

Play our own game, stick to what we know but with a controlled aggression that doesn’t fall foul of the (decent) referee

We know this is one half of a two-game season for the horrid JB’s and our players simply HAVE to be ready for the child-like antics of their opponents. That SHOULD go without saying

We can never be over-confident in that drab, impoverished and drab town; but we can go there with pride, determination and a resilience that tells those horrible JB’s that we are better than them, want it more than them, and are up to the task

A decent start with our vocal away support in full voice will see the JB’s start to get on the backs of their players. Their whole season/life depends on two results and we can add to their woes by taking the game to them and coming out on top

It won’t make or break our season but it will theirs and we are surely due a win

We've had Newport, Bristol City, and Bristol rovers as derby games in the past.

Agree we need to focus on smashing them though, ruining their season, and making their fans even more miserable than they already are.

Also agree that we need to be careful they are a sly cheating horrible small minded little club that will do what they can to get our players sent off for no reason again.

With the improvement in the injury situation I really fancy our chances on Sunday

We will be huge underdogs which will suit us and even though we have had 2 big defeats we’ve had no luck and loads of individual errors have cost us dearly

We are a lot better than our current position we all know this

Still worried, but everything has gone against us so far in the first two league games, we are due a bit of luck, fingers crossed this is our day

'We're bigger than you' is just comparing dicks, isn't it. I don't really care about that. I think we're the bigger club, but it's close.

The results are what I care about. We finished about them last year, which was nice after a few years below... but head to head, we've won 1 in 6 against them with no draws. You have to go back 7 trips down the M4 for us to get a win away.

Why not go into it with a different mentality?? It IS more than just 3 points (to me).

Ramsey is key I think. He needs to grip hold of it and lead from experience.

If he turns up, I think we'll win it.
