We are approaching the end of the transfer window and we have mostly viewed it as a step in the right direction. We have seen a degree of stabilization installed with the manager continuing (some disagree that he is the right man) we have moved away from the reliance on loan players and generally upgraded the quality of the squad, we have spend money, what we all should remember is that no club can just throw money at a promotion without reference to FFP.
It maybe a little bit ambitious to claim top 6 but its where we could be. In previous promotion campaigns squads have been assembled along a similar lines to the present squad. Its true to say that we have not got an out and out pair of strikers that would be the icing on the cake however I do believe that there are more goals within the squad as a whole compared to the previous season. If you compare the outcome of previous promotions, we did not have any where near 20 goal striker in the squad, so with my glass half full head I am hopeful that we can challenge at the top end of the table which starts with a win 45miles down the M4
