Well Sunderland’s kids and No Striker:

Sat Aug 24, 2024 2:31 pm

Could still lose bit have scored against Burnley and leading 1-0 after 30mins

Average age 22 yrs old and midfield 18.19 yrs old

I will say again it’s not about age, if your good enough you should play

Stop saying our 21,22 and 23 yrs old need another yr, just get rid if they are not good enough

That means scrapping under 23 team as none good enough any that are put in 1st team squad.. .or replacing them with the under 18 team? Along with replacing purse!

Annis sometimes it needs drastic actions to put things right.... the advantage Sunderland have is got a coach that enhances the kids ability and believes in them ...

It won’t last, you need experience to succeed in this league.

Nice start for them but can’t see it carrying on all season.

Exactly the same that has happened the last couple of seasons but they obviously haven’t learned their lesson.

Plus our young players are shit, unlike their’s.

Completely agree. I didn't think they were anything special when we played them. We gifted them the first goal and that settled them to have the perfect away performance. Obviously the early in-form team this year, a bit like Preston last year. They'll fall away from the top eventually.

Ned,

I said the other day, you can’t rely on all younger players, you have to have a mix.

But at least Sunderland are playing them and 3 wins in a row

Our younger players are superstars say Glen Williams, Dalman, Putse, Wez and many on here were saying before the season started

100%% agree

Your so right , that’s even more worrying
Sunderland were nothing special, but beat us 2 nil in Cardiff that’s my point

A good mix of youth and experienced gives teams pace stamina and know how. 3 or 4 in our team could make huge difference

They started well last season too, same with Preston last year.

At the start of the season there's less pressure, there's time and games to change things if need be, and no real pressure or MUST wins to get points for play offs or automatics.

Once the games are running out and the points are a must, experience is massively important in keeping heads up, decision making etc etc.

We do need to play a younger team, but players like Ralls, Ramsey, Chambers are also needed. They will be the ones that the youngsters will learn so much from.

100% with you on this mate. And double down that are young players are shit. R Colwell the best of them and I wouldn’t have him on my bench.
