The Jacks and the Union Jack - Why?

Sorry, may seem like a bit of a silly question to some.

I suppose I’m a bit younger than some on here (29), so I’m not fully clued up on the history.

But, why do they always sport the Union Jack flag ffs? Embarrassing.

Not even the jacks know. It's just a fashion to them. Of which they are usually around 30 years behind.

I’m told it started as a joke because it had ‘Jack’ in the name and they were united (union) but who really knows?

One thing is for certain, they don’t like being ‘Welsh’ so long as their capital city is Cardiff…’

There is an element of National Front in amongst their fan base, I worked with one of them who was spotted on a National Front March that made front-page headlines in the press some years ago .... He was a right oddball and hated Cardiff with a passion

I thought it was something do do with a greyhound called Jack,and the Union Jack flag just got slowly brought in to it or something.
