As my username suggests that i am a former referee and I often end up defending the referee during a match, however yesterday poor decision making and the lack of disciplinary measures during the match led to to crazy end to the game. He made the bad judgements:
1. On 3 occasions when Swansea players left a boot in on a late tackle and one by a City player which should have attracted yellow cards.
2. A yellow card was issued to NG when he had been knocked to the ground and had been the victim of a foul, the other 2 cautions were correct.
3. The Bulut send-off was totally incorrect unless Bulut used threatening language.
Whilst I dont think the referee's decisions had any direct impact on the result it did warrant a poor referee assessment for him. and the 4th official does have to take some responsibility for the Bulut sending off.
