Latest name on twitter. Apparently a 1m fee agreed and medical complete.

Transfercentre9 is the account and has 9k followers.

Really out the blue if true.

Seems reliable.

I think a few names will come out of nowhere now, with the window closing on Friday.

Buckley is an attacking midfielder, was on loan at Sheffield Wednesday last season.

Hope not. Don't know much about this guy but we don't need another midfield player we need to spend any money on a striker. Hardly set the world alight and Blackburn shipped out on loan last year to Sheff Wed so they can hardly rate him that highly.

We shipped mcguiness out on loan and got 10 million for him so just coz he's loaned out doesn't mean he's shit .

To add, there's been nothing else on twitter either. I would have thought the local jurno's would have picked up on this.

Why can’t we sign elsewhere as well as a striker?

Midfield is still weak IMO. We need a 6 badly though, someone to control the game as Siopis can’t do this.

Can also throw in LB, needs another player there.

Blackburn Rovers are reportedly planning to swoop for two current League One midfielders before Friday's transfer deadline, with Wigan Athletic's Thelo Aasgaard and Birmingham City youngster George Hall on John Eustace's radar.

That is according to a report from Alan Nixon via Patreon, who claims that Rovers could be set to spend some money after losing Sammie Szmodics to Ipswich Town.

There could already be a stumbling block in the pursuit for Aasgaard though, with Wigan after a substantial fee of around £3.5 million for the Norwegian.

Eustace knows all about Hall though, whom he played 30 times in the Championship during the 2022-23 season for Birmingham as a youngster.

Birmingham boss Chris Davies has already confirmed that Blues plan to loan Hall out for the current season in a bid to get his career back on track after a nightmare run of injuries, but Blackburn could potentially look to hand the 20-year-old a new lease of life and buy him.

Eustace is keen to add familiar faces too alongside a fresh one in Aasgaard, with both Hall and Siriki Dembele - another target for Blackburn - playing under the Rovers boss last season at Birmingham before his surprise exit in October.

Dembele had a strong first season at St. Andrew's despite Birmingham's relegation, but he has not made the last two matchday squads in League One under Davies, and that points towards a potential exit.

At the end of July, it was reported that several other unnamed Championship clubs were chasing the signature for the 27-year-old winger, but Rovers seem to be persistent in their interest.

Nixon reports that Birmingham want around £1.5 million for Dembele's services, but the fee could come down to £1 million and add-ons, if both clubs can get around the table.

Blackburn - Looking to get in new midfield players ???
