Find it strange myself, but he says it’s a club signing for the future.


But in general people also need to realise the way clubs sign players has changed.

The club work with their scouts and then target those players. They ask the manager if he wants them but the club identify the players. The days of managers having total control of signings is long gone.

That isn’t just us, that’s pretty much every club in the top two leagues at least.

That is how it works in 2024.

It will be interesting to see what we have paid for the lad. According to Transfrmarket he is worth €6m, I know this is rarely accurate but was obviously highly thought of. Also considering the window we’ve had it’s hard to have a go at the club, granted we’re still missing a striker. We have signed one but it doesn’t help that we also lost 2 strikers to injury, I’m not by any means saying Etete or Davies are the answer but we wouldn’t be looking so bleak if they were available.
