Would Rubin Colwill...

Thu Aug 29, 2024 8:21 pm

Its been a week where Colwill has actually surprised a few people, and he showed what he can do.

Southampton didn't have their best team out, but their 3 players alone 15m 12m and the 25m Chelsea loanee are worth more than our entire first team put together, so by no means a bad team, he did very well.

Hes 22, still a bit raw, and I've seen posts about how he would be better in a team with a manager who encourages free flowing attacking football.

Baring that in mind, would Colwill be better suited to a Sunderland type set up, a very young and energetic team?

Would he even get ahead of Jobe Bellingham?

If we’re not going to play him we should let him go to wherever that may be. He’d do better in a team that actually gave him some consistent game time.

If he plays like he has in the last two games consistently, then he’s a PL player.

My issues has always been that he can’t do it from the start and doesn’t have the consistency.

Hope he continues to prove me wrong.

Kevin DeBrune would struggle to make an impact in our super defensive kickoff tactics.

Imagine having the luxury of an aging but near-world-class player in our start-up who also fails to make an impact from kick off.....Surely that would be a crazy coincidence and a failing of the players, not the system?

Back 4, 2 DM's behind him, a static center forward, and 2 doubled-up wingers, what could go wrong?

Bulut needs to lose a DM, hopefully, Robinson is allowed to move into space or even the full-backs push-up.

He is not in the squad because he is close to getting the under 21 qualified once that happens I’ve got no doubt he will be in the main squad
