Absolutely devastated for her and their children.

By all accounts Chloe and Sol were great ambassadors for the club in welcoming new members of the team and by extension their partners and families.

I am beyond gutted for her.

The word legend is used too often in football but we were lucky to have witnessed two in recent times in Sol & Whitts and both were taken far too soon. Sol never gave anything less than 100% but always played with a smile on his face and his big heart and love for the club was obvious every time he pulled on the shirt. RIP Sol Bamba - a true Bluebird legend

Sol was definitely a special person on and off the pitch loved by us all.
Very upsetting news and what his wife has said is moving. We are all blessed with the time he spent with us.
He always gave it his all in a city shirt and that long leg always somehow made the tackle when it counted.
RIP Sol and condolences to your family very sad news indeed
